Today, I am reviewing these Colourpop Ultra Matte Mini Liquid Lipsticks from the Foxy Set. I have been eyeing on these liquid lipsticks for ages and I’m so glad that I finally get a chance to try them.
Without further ado, let’s get straight into it because I am just too excited!
This thin and lightweight formula glides onto the lips leaving SUPER intense colour with a bold, ultra matte finish. It’s very long wearing and completely kiss proof!
- Beeper: warm mid-tone taupe
- Clueless: dusty mauve pink
- Tulle: dusty mauve burgundy
- Creeper: true classic blue red
- More better: deep violet wine
Aren’t they just so cute? I mean they are just so teeny-tiny! It reminds of me of my childhood where I played with kids makeup. The applicators are just too tiny and cute.
Because they are so small, you can easily throw it in your purse. It is also ideal for travelling.
The bottles are see-through which is common for liquid lipsticks. The doe-foot applicator makes it so easy to apply without creating a whole lot mess!
Although the bottles turns out to be smaller than I expected, the tiny applicator wands allows me to get precise application. I am not sure if they will get used up very quickly. Up until now, I have never finished a lipstick even my favorite one that I use every single day.
The pigmentation on these are BOMB! I didn’t even have to re-dip into the bottle to get a full lip application. The pigmentation of these are comparable to high-end brands.
It’s very thin and liquidy/ almost runny. It applies like a lip gloss but it dries to a complete matte finish. It does smudges and transfer but I don’t know how it works because even with the smudging and transferring, it doesn’t lose its pigmentation especially with the darker shades.
It glides on smoothly however I do have to say that it is drying. I think it’s normal for liquid lipsticks especially with those that have great pigmentation and lasting power. I would say the comfort level of it is okay. It’s not overly drying but aren’t so comfortable either.
Like I said earlier, it has a complete matte finish and it is slightly powdery. It is definitely more
I was so amazed by its lasting power! It’s one of the most long-wearing liquid lipsticks that I have tried from the drugstore. It lasted me hours before I eat a full meal.
The kit consists of both cool and warm tones and light and dark shades so if you are beginner, this is really great way to find out what works for you. It retails for $18 which is think is a pretty good deal for 5 mini lippies that you are getting.
I do however have to say that the shades turns out to be quite darker than they are in the bottles, the shade “Tulle” is a great example. I don’t know if it’s just me but they swatch and apply darker than I expected maybe because of their great pigmentation? I just thought I should let you know as it is really important when you’re trying to choose a shade.
So, if you are makeup junkie like me and want to try a variety of shades without spending much or grow your liquid lipstick collection, this is a great way to start! Also, if you have been so curious about Colourpop Liquid lipsticks as they are highly raved on Youtube world, this is a great chance for you! In my opinion, it’s worth it!
However, if you are just an ordinary person who doesn’t own lots of lipstick to switch around or find some shades that aren’t calling for you, I would say skip on this and just buy a full-sized one of your favorite shade instead of these Mini ones as it is not practical to use every single day; it might get used up fairly quickly.
So that wraps up today’s post. Thank you so much for taking your time to read my post. I hope my review provided you enough informations about it.
