Hey everyone! Today, I have here with me -the famous Becca×Jaclyn Hill Face Palette from their Champagne Collection. I am sure many of you already own the ever so popular; Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop. I’ve always wanted to try Champagne Pop because everyone raves about it. So, this is a really great chance for me to try it along with other blushes and highlighter from Becca.
This is my first purchase from Becca and let me spoil you… I am so impressed with it!
Let’s talk about the packaging. Isn’t it just so pretty? Ahh!! I can’t even! It’s too much to handle. The gold and white packaging makes it look and feel so luxurious.
Aside having a pretty packaging, it is sturdy but I find it quite heavy. It also comes with a GIGANTIC mirror which I really appreciate.
It is a limited edition palette and retails for $52. It consists of 3 blushes and 2 highlighters. All of them are limited edition except Champagne Pop. Some of these are sold as their Limited Edition Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector® Mineral Blush Duo. Let’s take a look at them one by one.
It’s a luminous blush which is their newest blush formula. I thought I wouldn’t like it because I already own blushes similar to this but I was wrong! This shade is probably one of the prettiest shade I own. It’s a very beautiful warm pink with gold shimmers. It is so similar to Nars Orgasm but prettier. The formula of this is excellent! It is very creamy, soft and buttery- just like how a high-end blush should be. It is crazy pigmented! You only need a light hand and It gives a very pretty luminous glow to the cheeks so you don’t even need to use a separate highlighter unless you are like me and like a very intense glow.
This is a mineral blush which Becca claims to have a matte finish but to me, it’s more like a satin finish. This is a very unique and interesting shade. Surprisingly, it’s my favorite one out of the three. It is one of those blush/bronzer in one type of blushes. Although I am fair, I can pull it off. So, for my fair girls out there, don’t you worry! you can definitely pull it off. I won’t look too brown on you. As expected, the formula is incredible. It’s so buttery, creamy and blends so easily and has a really great color pay-off. It also has a really great staying power. It lasted me the whole with the heat and sweat.
This is also a mineral blush. It’s a very bright pink-coral that will look so beautiful on medium-dark skin. This is not a shade I usually go for so I don’t use it as much. Because it is so pigmented, you need a really light hand with this especially if you are fair like me. Again, the formula is amazing. It is so finely milled and has a very soft, smooth and blendable texture.
It’s a peachy gold highlighter that will complement any skin-tone which is why it’s a cult-favorite. Formula wise, I heard that the Champagne Pop in this palette is slighter different from that of individual one but I am not sure about it and I can’t compare it for you guys because like I said, I don’t own the original one. I don’t have any plans to buy the individual one because I am more than pleased with this. The formula is out of this world and the pigmentation is bomb. A little goes a long way with this product which is perfect for me because I like to glow. I like this way more than The Balm Mary-lou Manizer which is my holy grail highlighter. The size of the pan is so big but the amount of product you get is less than the original pan. But come on, let’s be real. Can you use it up before the expiry date? Especially when you need a very little amount of product. It will last you forever.
This is new to the family. It’s a true yellow-golden highlighter. It is a bit yellow on my skin tone so if you are paler than me, it can be a bit harsh on you. However, you can make it work by either using it very lightly or mixing with champagne pop. Needless to say, the formula is phenomenal.
So, is it worth the hype?
Yep! Definitely! I can’t rave about this enough. I totally understand why people love it. Although it may seem a bit expensive, it is actually a great deal guys. You are getting 3 blushes and 2 highlighters for $52. It is way cheaper than buying them individually. I know that I won’t be using Pamplemousse much because bright blushes aren’t my cup of tea but still I think it’s worth the money. The quality of these are excellent! I am so impressed with Becca so I am sure I will be buying more from their brand.
Do I need it?
Well, that depends. If you are like me and love Jaclyn Hill and go crazy for limited edition products, you need this in your life. If you don’t own any of their blushes and highlighters, this is a very good deal – you are getting more than you pay for. If you want to try Champagne Pop, this is a really great chance for you. So, get it while you can! However, if you already own Champagne Pop or some other blushes from Becca and find some shades that you might not like, you may skip this one.
